The most popular question is ‘what will I wear’ and it’s so simple! What would you wear if you were going to a supper club back in the day?

The Tassel Club loves everyone to make an effort – so top hat and tails, your finest evening wear, cabaret chic would all be so appreciated!

Of course it is Halloween night, so there are absolutely no rules – you can wear what ever takes your fancy on the day! You will be watching a show with acts themed from the Belle Époque period, 1920’s, 40’s and 50’s so really the range is there to go wild and mix up the styles. After all, isn’t that what the style of this current revival of burlesque is all about  – borrowing from all the periods that came before and creating a pastiche of all that we loved about each era. That’s certainly what we do at The Tassel Club.

You can think Mata Hari, Marie Antonette, Victoriana chic with Victoria and old Albert, Can can and Toulouse LaTrec, beautiful lingerie worn as outerwear like the saucy girls from the Mouline Rouge, Coco Chanel who copied the style, and so many others who inspired this ‘Beautiful Era’
